Microsoft defines assemblies as the building blocks of .NET Framework applications. They form the fundamental unit of deployment, version control, reuse, activation scoping, and security permissions.
OMI: Operations Management Interface, a visualization framework for AVEVA System Platform and Application Server to provide data-driven and context-aware run-time displays.
SDK: Software Developer Kit. A collection of APIs, sample apps, and documentation that lets software developers build new applications. The AVEVA OMI SDK uses Microsoft Visual Studio as its development environment and includes several component SDKs and APIs, along with sample apps and documentation.
